1991 Adirondack Guideboat, finely crafted, wooden boat, gently used cherry birch | eBay
Hand crafted by Vermont Boat Works in 1991, this Adirondack Guideboat glides through the water with a slight push on the hand made cherry oars. This boat has been used rarely. It is made of cherry and birch strips and held together with brass screws on ribs that are 5 inches apart. The boat has a fiberglass coating which protects the beautiful finish. It is 14 feet long and has 3 caned seats, brass oarlocks and cherry deck. The cherry oars are beautifully shaped and efficient in the water.
On the interior there is a birch deck with 3 decorative strips on either side. Some of the decorative strips have cracked and need replacement. I am not a woodworker and have not taken that on. It is an easy fix, I have been told.
This beautiful boat was inherited from the original owner. It was purchased at a boat shop in the Rochester area, New York state. I was with the original owner when it was bought.
Downpayment of $500 at close of auction and balance within 7 days. PayPal accepted
Pickup in the Adirondack Park in New York State. I do not have a trailer or large vehicle to transport. Pickup site is an amazing place, you might want to linger awhile.
