Hey, Sugar Babies!!!!?

EWG Logo

Dear Friend,

It's appalling. Our brand new report showed that 44 children's cereals have more sugar in a single cup than three Chips Ahoy! cookies!

Explosive reports like this are our trademark at Environmental Working Group. From pesticides in your food to pollutants in your water and toxins in your sunscreen, EWG gives you the facts that government and industry don't.

Which is why I need your help right now. We are racing to meet the 2011 fundraising goals that determine whether we have the money to continue doing the critical research you count on to make safe, healthy decisions for you and your family. Can we count on your help? This deadline is so important, a generous donor has agreed to match your gift dollar for dollar.

Make a tax-deductible donation of $10 or more today and you'll get EWG's special ChicoBag mesh produce bag as a thank you. Make sure you donate before December 15 to get this special gift before the holiday.

EWG has scored some major victories over the past year.

We defeated the Secret Farm Bill; we put out the first-ever Meat Eater's Guide to Climate Change + Health report; we teamed up with dozens of other organizations for National Food Day to build support for healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable, humane way; and we joined the Just Label It! campaign, pushing the FDA to label genetically engineered foods.

Our water victories included publishing a groundbreaking report on cancer-causing chromium-6 in tap water, leading the EPA to create a plan to test local drinking supplies. Our What's in My Bottled Water guide picked up where the FDA left off, helping you figure out which brands are best at disclosing their water source and using advanced treatment methods for removing pollutants. And our Cracks in the Façade report showed the risks of fracking - despite denials by the oil and gas industry.

We've got big plans for the future too, like updating our National Tap Water Database, creating a new guide to household cleaners, continuing to expand the number of products in our Skin Deep Cosmetics Database and researching the safety of genetically engineered foods. But all this is impossible without your help.

Make a tax-deductible donation of $10 or more today and we'll send you our special ChicoBag mesh produce bag to say thank you. If you donate by December 15 you'll get this special gift before the holiday.

We work with a lot of great partners to do our research and implement new environmental policies. But our most important partner is you. Thanks for all you do!

Sincerely,
