10 Signs You're Ready To Let Go and Move On | I Heart Intelligence

10 Signs You're Ready To Let Go and Move On | I Heart Intelligence

10 Signs You're Ready To Let Go and Move On

10 Signs You're Ready To Let Go and Move On

They say life is a balance of holding on and letting go,

holding on to things that had a profound impact on our life that made us stronger and helped shape us into the person we are today and letting go of things that no longer serve us purpose so that we may move forward in a positive way.

When faced with a difficult decision, sometimes we are forced to reflect on our lifestyle choices and past regrets, some we see as a great success and others a painful loss, however, whatever situation life throws at you know that if it doesn't make you happy, then it's time to part ways and move on to something better, something that is going to help you excel and shine brighter than ever. This can be a painful process, but remember your happiness is the most important thing.

So, here are 10 signs it's time to let go and move on…

1: Feeling undervalued:

If you're constantly feeling put down at work or in your personal life, then it is time to ask yourself are these people good for my soul? Don't waste time or energy on people who drag you down or hold you back. Surround yourself with those who inspire, motivate and love you, unconditionally.

2: Settling for less:

Never compromise your dream because it is the blueprint for who you are. Don't settle for anything less because you will always feel less; less creative, less inspired, less determined and you deserve more than that, you deserve everything you've ever wanted.

3: Exhaustion:

If something or someone is draining you and leaving you with a sense of constant exhaustion then it's time to take a step back and ask yourself, is this worth my energy? Life is short, remember that.

4: Loss of joy and creativity:

If you lose that spark inside you and begin to feel like your dreams are no longer relevant, then it is time to step outside of the person you have become and remember who it is you are meant to be. Look for something beautiful in each day and you will soon be inspired again.

5: Scared of change:

Nobody really likes change at first, however, if we never take risks then we will never discover new parts of ourselves. Don't be afraid to take a leap of faith and change direction once in a while.

6: Constantly sad in relationships:

My friend once asked me if I was dating an onion because I cried way more than I smiled. This made me laugh a lot, but it also put a lot into perspective for me. If you have more feelings of sadness than joy and happiness then it is time to ask yourself; Am I dating an onion?

7: Feeling trapped:

When something no longer serves you, you will feel it in your soul, it will yearn for that next adventure. Don't ignore those feelings, if you're constantly craving that sense of freedom, it's definitely time to let go and move on to the next chapter of your life.

8: Living in the past:

Most people spend so much of their life constantly fixated on the past that they miss out on all of the wonderful blessings that surround them daily. Do not be held back by something that caused you pain, move towards dreams, goals, and ambitions. Look to the future and always appreciate the now.

9: Never putting yourself first:

We are led to believe that putting ourselves first is a selfish act but this is not true. How can you love another if you do not love yourself? How can you value anything if you're always sacrificing your own health and happiness just to please everybody else? The result of this is you end up faking your own happiness and no peace of mind comes from this act. It's okay to put yourself first, let go of the guilt and move past it.

10: Low expectations:

If you are surrounding yourself with people/situations that don't help you reach your full potential then it is time to walk away and move on. Don't be afraid to set the bar high, you can achieve anything you put your mind to, you just have to believe you can. Expect the best from yourself and you will succeed in all that you do.

Pick the Right Color for Design or Decorating with This Color Psychology Chart

Colors, we've seen before, quickly convey emotions and affect people's moods. Whether you're choosing paint for a room or are designing a presentation, this Psychology of Color chart, which matches specific Pantone colors, can come in handy.

Created by the Carey Jolliffe Graphic Arts agency, the chart covers a wide spectrum of colors (not just "green" for example, but ten shades of green/green-blue). It identifies the positive connotations for each color and, where applicable, negative ones too. Here's the full chart (click to expand or right-click to save):

By the way, Pantone has a paint finder tool for matching Pantone colors.

Mysterious 12,000 Year Old Advanced Tunnel That Stretches from Scotland to Turkey, Shocks Archeologists [Video]

Across Europe, there are countless number of tunnels that stretch across but archaeologists just discovered one of the most advanced and knowledgeable underground tunnel from 12,000 years ago and the has simply shocked scholars today.

No one really know why yet but 12,000 years ago ancient people began digging massive tunnels to connect continents but they are fascinating.

These tunnels spread from Scotland to Turkey, 2,798.3 miles, and researches are still in shock.

Questions have been raised as if whether these were used as tombs or for religious rituals? Or did the ancient man create these to secure themselves from catastrophe?

German Archaeologists Dr. Heinrich Kush believes that these tunnels were used as modern-day highways allowing people to travel. These tunnels still exist today across Europe.

"Across Europe, there were thousands of these tunnels – from the north in Scotland down to the Mediterranean. They are interspersed with nooks, at some places, it's larger, and there is seating, or storage chambers and rooms. They do not all link up but taken together it is a massive underground network." – Dr. Heinrich Kush

There aren't any definite explanations for these tunnels that satisfy researchers. The tunnels are designed to give pathway to historic churches and cemeteries and were built by those who knew exactly what they were doing.

Experts have also denoted that such extensive tunnel work is for ancient people to prevent themselves from dangers of the outside world to move freely during war. A world under the world.

The tunnel proves that ancient man was not only interested in hunting, yet was also interested in engineering and has been doing so for a really long time.

Why I believe the whole world is brainwashed and what I'm doing to fix it/ Kasim Khan

matrix-world-pulled-over-our-eyes

I don't often write and I'm literally writing this as I'm thinking to myself so please be patient with me…

Most people I know have a loving family, good friends, an education , a job and yet if I was being totally honest with myself I would say most of them are unfulfilled with a feeling of emptiness. Of course I cannot speak for everyone but certainly the majority of people I know or have known have felt like this at least at some stage in their life. And I am sure if you look at yourself and even around you at the people in your life you would agree with me.
But why? You have shelter, food, security, family . . . this immediately puts you in probably the top 10% bracket of 'wealthy people' in the world. We are indeed lucky.

Well as I sit here and question why you feel so unfulfilled I think I have the answer ; You've spent all your life being brainwashed and conditioned into being a certain way, and somewhere deep down you know this and it doesn't agree with you. And it's this that is causing that powerless empty feeling that you can't seem to shake.

It starts from birth, if you have religious parents then they will choose your religion for you, you have no choice over this and only very few of you will ever question your own religion and even fewer will look at the possibility of leaving.
Then as you grow older at a specific age you are entered into an education system and find yourself surrounded with hundreds of other children of the exact same age and all being taught at the same or similar level. You are essentially being given boundaries at this young age and cannot progress quicker than the education system allows.
You are also taught to conform. If you disobey you are in some way punished. Often if you even question authority in any way this is frowned upon and again you may even be punished.
Many education systems want you to wear a uniform and even some require a specific type of haircut. Again this is all sub consciously embedding in your brain that to conform is good. Even at this young age you are being trained to be a perfect little worker. To turn up on time, to take breaks when told, to learn at a pace which is dictated to you. Your uniqueness and creativity at this young tender age is being pounded away by relentless demand from the system to conform.

As you grow older, you have your religion or belief system that is the same as your families, you have an education that is the same as everyone you know and now as your mind grows with all the constraints in place you start to fight back against these and some of you may succeed but most will not. Most of your minds will now start  to be shaped by the media, by marketing , you start to follow fashion trends, music trends, you need the latest phone/laptop or game. You want to fit in with all your friends and be the same as everyone because this is all you know , this is all you have been taught to be.

You watch the news and trust what you are being told, you read the papers and assume this to be truth. Why? Because all your life you have relied on others for information and never been told to question things for yourself…

Now you are about to leave education and enter into the world of work. This is what your parents and teachers have been preparing you for your whole entire life … to work and to be "successful". If you done as you were told to do in school, and if you memorised all the books you were given in class and then regurgitated all this information in your exams chances are you will find a high paying job which will make your family happy, it will get you lots of friends and buy you many nice things.

At this stage in life many of you may still try to question what life is all about, and even try to resist being sucked into the rat-race but sadly the harsh realities of life begin to set in and even the most ardent of rebels begins to see that they need money to survive and slowly even you will be forced to conform and be a part of 'society'

Then eventually once you have been fully integrated as a perfect contributing citizen you will soon have kids , and then more than ever you understand the importance of having money and working. And … the cycle begins again, this time with your own children. And this pattern will continue to repeat until we have a society full of workers designed to feed a corrupt system which makes the rich richer and keeps everyone else sedated, unaware and unfulfilled.

As I write this I understand that I am also a part of this system that I talk so negatively about but I feel lucky to have found a passion which has taken me on a journey of self-realization and helped me to understand the world I live in and literally question everything. The passion I am talking about is the truth. Nearly three years ago I decided to create a Facebook page called Educate Inspire Change and that was probably the best decision I have ever made, because by trying to inform others I ended up learning more than I could ever have imagined and am still learning everyday. And it's this passion for the truth that has allowed me to see clearly and I want to use this clarity to help others do the same as me and find their passion and pursue it and to ultimately be fulfilled.

And I believe the key to finding your own passion is self-education and critical thinking because you can never know what it is you really want or who you really are until you really start to think for yourself . We are literally living in the matrix and many of us are breaking free and it's up to those of us who have this new-found sense of clarity to share it with others and be the light for others.

It can be a very frustrating thing being surrounded by people who you care about and love who simply cannot see what is happening around them. A fish born in the lake will never question what the water is around it, or whether there may be more lakes or even oceans. Similarly humans will never question our surroundings or the systems we are placed in unless other humans give us the wake-up call we need.

Everyday I learn more about science, spirituality, politics, nature , space …. and the more I learn the more excited I am about life and the more lucky I feel to be alive. And the more I want to share this knowledge with the world.

I have recently became a father and when I sit here and think about it perhaps that is what is the driving force behind me writing this. Because I know I will do my utmost not to condition him, I will do my best to nurture his creative abilities and instill the confidence in him to question everything… even me.
I want to teach him how lucky he is to be alive, to teach him about the beauty of nature, the beauty of humanity, the beauty of real knowledge and I hope that he too will find his passion because I believe that all of us are fundamentally creative beings who are here to learn, explore, create and simply wonder.

So I suppose I am writing this to share with you my understanding of the world and my hopes for change. Fortunately the fix is easy for all of us, just look to get better informed, self-educate, self-reflect, try to question everything and instill these values in your children and then sit back and watch the world change for the betterment of all people.

This New Breakthough Alzheimer's Treatment Fully Restores Memory Function

We're creating viewer supported news. We need your help!

A team of Australian researchers are using a non-invasive ultrasound technology to assist in removing toxic plaque and lesions from nerve cells commonly associated with the onset of Alzheimer's disease.

If you are one of the many millions of people who have witnessed the degenerative effects of Alzheimer's disease, then you likely know how heartbreaking it is to see a loved one's quality of life dissipate in what seems like an instant.

For years, scientists have worked diligently to find a counteractive treatment for the common neuro-degenerative disease, but mostly with no successful avail. Thankfully, however, this might all be about to change.

A team of researchers from the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) at the University of Queensland have found success in reversing the processes that are commonly associated with the onset of Alzheimer's and other dementia-related diseases. Their findings were published in the journal Science Translational Medicine.

From what we currently understand, a person's Alzheimer's disease is usually the result of a build-up of two types of lesions – amyloid plaques, and neurofibrillary tangles. Amyloid plaques sit between the neurons and end up as dense clusters of beta-amyloid molecules, a sticky type of protein that clumps together and forms plaques.

Neurofibrillary tangles are found inside the neurons of the brain, and they're caused by defective tau proteins that clump up into a thick, insoluble mass. This causes tiny filaments called microtubules to get all twisted, which disrupts the transportation of essential materials such as nutrients and organelles along them, sort of like when you twist up the vacuum cleaner tube.

The team's technique uses a particular type of ultrasound called a focused therapeutic ultrasound, which non-invasively beams sound waves into the brain tissue. By oscillating super-fast, these sound waves are able to gently open up the blood-brain barrier, which is a layer that protects the brain against bacteria, and stimulate the brain's microglial cells to activate.

Microglila cells are basically waste-removal cells, so they're able to clear out the toxic beta-amyloid clumps that are responsible for the most severe symptoms of Alzheimer's.

Remarkably, the team reports a 75% success rate in fully restoring memory function for the rats they tested the treatment on. Even better is the fact that there was no brain damage to surrounding tissues.

They found that the treated mice displayed improved performance in three memory tasks – a maze, a test to get them to recognize new objects, and one to get them to remember the places they should avoid.

"We're extremely excited by this innovation of treating Alzheimer's without using drug therapeutics," one of the team, Jürgen Götz, said in a press release. "The word 'breakthrough' is often misused, but in this case I think this really does fundamentally change our understanding of how to treat this disease, and I foresee a great future for this approach."

The team says they're planning on starting trials with higher animal models, such as sheep, and hope to get their human trials underway in 2017.

This type of success rate could spell big things for Alzheimer's treatment. What implications would this have for people suffering from the disease? Could this potentially lead to increased life spans and extended brain capacity and function for the elderly population? These questions and more will continue to be explored with further research, stay tuned for more updates as they come.

SEED

The Untold Story

SEED

About the Film

Worshiped and treasured since the dawn of humankind, few things on Earth are as miraculous and vital as seeds. SEED: The Untold Story follows passionate seed keepers intent on protecting our 12,000 year-old food legacy.

In the last century, 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared. This once abundant seed diversity — painstakingly created by ancient farmers and gardeners over countless millennia — has been drastically winnowed down to a handful of mass-produced varieties. Under the spell of industrial "progress" and corporate profits, family farmsteads have given way to mechanized agribusinesses sowing genetically identical crops on a massive scale. But without seed diversity, crop diseases rise and empires fall. MORE

16 Things to Expect From A Loved One With Anxiety - I Heart Intelligence

16 Things to Expect From A Loved One With Anxiety - I Heart Intelligence

16 Things to Expect From A Loved One With Anxiety

16 Things to Expect From A Loved One With Anxiety

"Chronic anxiety is a state more undesirable than any other, and we will try almost any maneuver to eliminate it," wrote Robert E. Neale in The Art of Dying. Anxiety is, indeed, a miserable affliction. However, it also lives in some of the most wonderful people in our world.

Anxiety often comes hand-in-hand with a high IQ, a sensitive soul, a creative nature, a drive for achievement, and the simple inclination to care too much.

It's no wonder people often find themselves falling for the anxious.

So – what happens when you do?

Here are 16 things you should expect when your loved one has anxiety:

1. Expect firm boundaries.
Sometimes anxious people – and especially anxious introverts – simply need to be alone.
2. Expect to be appreciated for the little things.
We notice everything, and we are grateful for even the smallest of gestures.

3. Expect our bond to run deep and grow quickly.
Once you are in our inner circle, you are in for life.
4. Expect to be the one responsible for making plans.
Having too many choices can stress us out.

5. Expect to learn to listen, rather than give advice.
When we are anxious, we need to let it out. It's therapeutic.
6. Expect to endure hundreds of new attempts at anxiety management techniques.
Essential oils, adult coloring books, acupuncture…we'll try it all.

7. Expect to give reassurance more than you'd like to.
Tell us we're safe. Tell us we're loved. Tell us it'll all be okay.
8. Expect reason to be powerless against anxiety.
This is true for even the most logical of anxious people.

9. Expect to learn some deep breathing exercises.
Walk your partner through them in times of trouble. These are amazingly effective.
10. Expect to communicate honestly.
Your partner will sense if you are holding back. This will add to their anxiety.

11. Expect some weird sleep patterns.
Anxiety often goes hand in hand with insomnia and other sleep disorders.
12. Expect lots of lists and itineraries.
Preparation helps to soothe us. Please don't try to stray from the plan.
13. Expect to provide stability rather than drama.
We don't like to do the on-and-off thing. We need a partner we can depend on. We thrive on this.

14. Expect to encounter problems that you can't solve for us.
Learn to be okay with that.
15. Expect to encourage your partner to engage in self-care.
Explain that it's not the same thing as being lazy or self-indulgent. Health is just as important as accomplishments.
16. Expect to make your own self-care a priority.
Your well-being is important, too.

"Don't worry if people think you're crazy. You are crazy. You have that kind of intoxicating insanity that lets other people dream outside of the lines and become who they're destined to be," wrote Jennifer Elisabeth. Your partner's anxiety may seem insane to you at times. However, this is only one part of their being. If the rest of them is worth it, learn to love your partner as a whole. Get lost in their madness. Learn to love one another completely, strengths, afflictions, and all.
